Play It Again Damn It!!- Carcass: Inpropagation

Alrighty so for this Play It Again Damn It!! I thought it would take a look at one of my all-time favorite bands that being Carcass. I remember I was just thinking back to some of the old concerts and in 2008 they reunited which at the time I thought was only going to be a short-lived reunion.  Fortunately, they kept going and so with that let’s take a look…….

Song: Inpropagation

Album: Necroticism-Descanting The Insalubrious

So as I said, in my intro, I was just kind of thinking about old shows that I had gone to in the past and one of my favorite shows I would say ever or at least it’s definitely up there, was the reunion of Carcass in 2008.  Ah yes 2008 what a great time it was to be a fan of this band and the other band that reunited At The Gates. I mean, it really was a magical time to be a fan of these bands.  But I do remember seeing them at the House Of Blues in Sunset and just being just a little off to the center right on the rail really made the experience that much better. But I’m getting off topic here. The reason why I picked this song was because they played at Aftershock and as usual, they were great, but it got me thinking why don’t they open with the song Inpropagation anymore?  I mean it’s a great song off of an even greater album and I guess the introduction to it is like some doctor talking about a dead body and then it just goes right into it.  Now I get it obviously put out new material since 2008 and it’s great material but I always felt that this particular song was the perfect opener.  They would play the medical speech or what have you as they were walking on stage and it made it really cool. I mean the thing is with pretty much all these songs that get this kind of segment, he took the time and energy to write a record songs they need to be played live. I don’t know hopefully they’ll work it back into their set, but it’s one of those songs that I miss seen them play.
