Up on the chopping block, I’m taking a look at a band from LA called Giggleguts and they are the cutest band in the world (if it says so online then it must be true because you can trust any and everything the internet says). Let’s take a look……..
One thing I will say is that it’s great to see bands draw inspiration from bands like Suicidal Tendencies or S.O.D. Giggleguts is just a fun, no BS hard-core punk band in the same vein of the aforementioned bands. You can tell by listening and seeing their live videos on YouTube that this is a band that just likes to have fun. I’ve said before on other reviews that that seems to be missing with a lot of rock bands these days, is just the “let’s have some fun” aspect. Now when it comes to listening to their music, they have a self titled demo EP and for a demo it actually sounds pretty good. It definitely captures that sort of 80s 90s rawness and hopefully there will be more new music on the way. For now, enjoy what they have and if you’re looking for something just to have fun with then I definitely recommend checking out Giggleguts.
