When it comes to Swedish death metal one of the best bands to do, it was Entombed. Now, whether you’re a fan of their earlier stuff or their later stuff, you cannot deny that they’re part of the Swedish big four for a reason. So for this Kickoff. We’re gonna take a look at one of their sort of later albums. Let’s take a look……..
As I said, whether you’re a fan of their older or newer stuff, all of their albums are special in their own sort of way. Such is the album Uprising and the opening song “Seeing Red.” It’s one of those album openers that doesn’t really have any sort of introduction and just goes right for it. I mean, it just starts off with a really bad ass guitar part and then income the drums and from then on it’s go time!! LG’s vocals are absolutely badass and Alex Hellid’s guitar work is very complimentary. I also have to point out that you can hear the bass and Jörgen Sandstrom does a great job. Definitely one of those perfect openers and if it’s been a while since you’ve heard this song or the rest of the album, definitely give it another listen!! I would also be remiss if I didn’t at least mention the fact that the music video shows clips of the Troma film Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV. Troma gave us such classics like The Toxic Avenger, Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD, and Cannibal The Musical not to mention there are hot lesbians making out in a movie theater. So you have Troma, hot lesbians, and Entombed all together?? I mean, what more could anybody ask for?
