For this Song Pick Of The Week, we’re gonna take a look at number 89 on my top 100. Number 89 is the band Goatwhore. I gotta be honest when I first heard this band name I thought it was pretty hilarious but if you really listen to the music, it actually really good music. So with that, let’s take a look…….

So as I said, in my introduction, this was a band just based on the name that I didn’t think I could take seriously. I mean, come on with the name like that, it is sort of hard to take it serious but once you listen to the albums and especially the aforementioned album, the songs are actually really bad ass. Honestly I was kind of torn between picking this song and the opening track because that one is probably one of my favorite songs from this band however, I think it is one of their more popular songs and there are other great songs on this album. I’m not sure if this one is considered a live staple but if not, it should be. Favorite part of the song is probably the beginning because that riff is so damn good. I’m pretty sure that Sammy Duet (a vastly underrated guitar player BTW) is using an octave pedal because like that are ones that I’m a big fan of. Still though the rest of the song is just great and as I said earlier, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s considered a deep cut, but definitely give that song and the whole album a listen.
