It’s always nice to go back and re-listen to an album that you haven’t played in a long time. That’s certainly how I feel lately about the album We’ve Come For You All from Anthrax and I’ve always wondered what would’ve been if Dimebag Darrell joined Anthrax permanently. Sadly, we will never ever know but he did play on several of their albums and that’s what we’re taking a look at for Guest Guitar Solos. The song “Cadillac Rock Box” is on the chopping block and with that let’s take a look………..
The intro starts off with a voicemail from Dimebag to Charlie Benante (drums) and then goes right into it. The one thing I will say about this particular song is that it’s not a full on thrash metal song. In fact, I’d say it’s more of a heavier rock song than it is a thrash metal song, but it is just so damn good!! When it comes to the guitar solo, Dime definitely does not disappoint!! Now he has contributed several other guitar solos but this one sounds slightly different yet you can tell it’s him. There’s just this certain style and flair that Dime had and it is a damn shame that he is no longer here!! Definitely give this song a listen your ears will thank you!!
