I have no doubt that if there was death metal in the Star Wars universe, then one of the bands of choice by the Empire would easily be Vader. All kidding aside, Vader is one of those bands that is absolutely badass and they are in at number 61/100 for Song Pick Of The Week with the song “Prayer To The God Of War.” Let’s take a look….
I feel like Vader is one of those bands where if someone says they don’t like them, people will go “what do you mean you don’t like Vader?!!” Their albums are all great and they also put on one hell of a live show!! Now I’ll admit I’m a bit new to the Vader game but the song “Prayer To The God Of War” is one of the songs that got me into them. For years I didn’t really take them that seriously because of the name but I came across “Prayer To The God Of War” through an online ad for the album The Empire. The song itself is about religious fanaticism, blind obedience, and destruction carried out in the name of a higher power. If you’re wanting to get into Vader, then this would be a great starting point.
