Up next on the chopping block is the band Third Eye Blind. Now like pretty much everyone else, I know only their radio hits so let’s see if they’re more than just what’s on their first couple albums. With that, let’s take a look……..
Third Eye Blind- so this album has so many damn hits. Like for me this is middle school/late 90’s listening and a lot of these songs brought me back. There are so many songs on here that I’m like “oh yeah I remember this song from back in the day”. Definitely a really fun and nostalgic album which brought me down memory lane. I’ll give this album a 10/10
Standouts: Graduate, Losing A Whole Year, Good For You
Blue- this one is another one of those albums that when you hear the songs, you remember from back in the day. Now while not as strong as the first album, this is a very worthy follow up and definitely is a great second album. I’ll give this one 9/10
Standouts: 10 Days Late, 1,000 Julys, Wounded
Out Of The Vein- I feel like after the last two albums, these guys kinda didn’t have a lot of radio friendly hits. So how’s this album? Well it’s actually not bad. Much like the second album, it’s a good follow up. The last one was a little slower compared to this one but again you could listen to both this and the last album back to back. I’ll give this one 8/10
Standouts: Crystal Baller, Blinded (When I See You), Company
Ursa Major- ok so this one starts off kinda cool but then sort of goes down hill. By that I mean it gets soft and slow. It’s not a bad album in the sense that it’s unlistenable but it’s just kind of boring. I’ll give this one 5/10
Standouts: Don’t Believe A Word
Dopamine- much like the last album it’s fine at the start but then gets kind of boring. At some point with this one, the songs all start to sound the same. Definitely a skippable album and I’ll give it 5/10

We Are Drugs- ok so this one is just completely soft and boring. Again nothing special and not really a very good album and I’ll give it 4/10

Screamer: again more of the same. I’m starting to think that they have only one formula and are sticking to it. It’s really derivative and if you like boring pop music you might like this one. I’ll give it 0/10

Our Bande Apart- again I feel like these guys are just making the same album over and over again. Well I’m not going to dwell on this one too much so it’s getting a 0/10

Aside from the first three albums, the rest are not really worth a listen which is two bad because the first album is so damn good. I have seen them live before and they are actually not bad but really they need to maybe go back to their original sound or at least try to make something in that same style.
