In continuing with the countdown to the number one spot of my top 100, here’s number 87 Kreator!! I’ve always said that they’re the German Metallica so let’s take a look……
This week’s song pick is what I would consider an underrated classic that being “Coma Of Souls” off the album of the same name. There’s just something about this particular song that just gets one going as soon as it plays. Anybody knows me knows I’m a big fan of catchy and big guitar riffs and this song certainly has that. I think why I picked this is because of the main riff. There’s just something about it that’s so bad ass. I do remember when I saw them last. They left this off the set list and that’s a damn shame because this is one of those songs that needs more love. I did read somewhere that Mille Petrozza (vocals, guitar) said that the band didn’t really put a lot of work into the album and if that’s the case, then that’s pretty damn impressive. Imagine if they had written this album at 110% ?? This is also one of those songs that sounds just as good on album as it does live. If it’s been a while since you’ve jammed this song, definitely go back and give it another spin.
