That One Time: Skid Row/Lzzy Hale

Between this year and last year, Halestorm has become one of my new favorite bands. Sure I had heard about them and a few singles but hadn’t really given them a chance.  One of the best things about going to a festival like Aftershock is you get to see certain bands that you wouldn’t  see at their own shows.  So at the 2024 Aftershock, I got to see Halestorm for the first time (I honestly cannot wait until they’re back out onto tour) and I became an instant fan.  But then I remembered that one time when Lzzy fronted the band Skid Row for a handful of shows so with that let’s take a look………….

Since becoming more of a fan of  Halestorm, I am thoroughly convinced that Lzzy has one of the best voices in rock music today. I remember it when that band first came out on stage and she just lets out this gigantic monstrous roar that echoed throughout the entire festival.  I mean, that is some power right there.   In my opinion Lzzy Hale has one of the best voices in rock music, hands-down and she absolutely NAILS it as the front woman for Skid Row.  Don’t believe me? Just go on YouTube and look up any of the performances and you will see that she clearly has the chops.  It really is too bad that she couldn’t be with the band longer or at least do a full tour because I for one would love to see that.  Hopefully someday it can happen or even a Halestorm and Skid Row tour.  Now that would be something worth going to.  You get kind of a up-and-coming band to open then you get Halestorm then another band and then have Skid Row close the night out. Each band gets 45 minutes to an hour and Skid Row gets an hour and a half. But I’m just putting it out there in the universe.  It should also be noted, though that Jon Bon Jovi has said if you can’t get Sebastian Bach get Lzzy Hale
