Coming in at number 80 of my top 100 is Blue Oyster Cult. I feel like Blue Oyster Cult is one of those bands that still doesn’t get the credit they deserve even though they’ve been around as long as Black Sabbath. Now for this Song Pick Of The Week, I’ve chosen “Burnin’ For You.” I know it’s one of them more commercial songs but it’s just so damn good so let’s take a look……..
This was probably one of these songs that introduced me to this band and every now and again I just feel the need to go back to it. It’s a great song and I can’t see why it would become a commercial success. I mean, one cannot deny that opening guitar riff is iconic. To be honest, I really don’t know what this song is about but regardless, it’s just a fun tune and one that I feel like you can put on for those that are not really into hard rock and they would like it.
