Coming in at number 68 of my top 100 is the band White Zombie. Talk about a band that needs to get back together!! I mean seriously they just need to do it already but for now we just have to keep listening to the albums so let’s take a look…..
This was one of those bands where I had kind of a hard time choosing a song to pick from them, but ultimately I went with “Electric Head Part 1 (The Agony)” off of Astro Creep 2000. I’ve always had a soft spot for this song because for one thing it kicks off the album and also because it’s one of those songs that’s just absolutely perfect. I mean it’s just got such a groove to it that really just makes you want to move. One thing that I did notice about this song is you can absolutely hear bassist Sean Yseult. She does these little fills and it just adds to the awesomeness that is this song. This song also opens with a movie sample that being from the movie “The Curse Of Frankenstein” and that is honestly an absolutely perfect way to introduce this song much less the entire album. It’s been a while since you’ve heard this song or even Astro Creep 2000, definitely give this another listen.
