Up Next on the chopping block is another Band Spotlight. This particular band came across my radar through Instagram of all places. I have been noticing that Instagram is actually a pretty good place to find new music/bands. The band being spotlighted is called Black Sheep so with that let’s take a look………
So I would like to think that this band took their name from that movie Black Sheep but of course I’m probably wrong on that one but anyway they are what I would call an Indie rock band. Like there really is no way to slice it. It’s Indie rock but it’s kind of haunting in an interesting sort of way. I really can’t explain it, but it’s definitely got some raw emotion and I can hear many influences such as Black Sabbath and maybe a touch of Soundgarden. It’s haunting yet dreamy yet rocks all at the same time and again it’s just very interesting. I don’t know looking forward to hearing what they have to offer in the future because as it stands right now they only have six songs total so you could actually get through all of their songs in probably 30 minutes. There is one EP and one single and I really like the way it all flows. I mean, I really wish I could go on, but this band is only about a year old and already there is great potential. I would say the biggest Takeaway is that if you’re looking for something new and different definitely give this band a listen.
