For this guest solo, I thought I’d take a look at the song “The Reaver” by the blackened thrash metal band Witchery. Witchery is a band made up of members from Opeth, The Haunted, and Arch Enemy and they are so badass!! What makes this track great is that it has both Gary Holt and Lee Altus from Exodus and with that let’s take a look……..
Now with this album, it would seem like they really wanted to go for a full on thrash metal album. During the promoting of the album, guitarist and main songwriter Patrik Jensen (The Haunted) said “Well if I ask Gary, I might as well see if Lee would also be up for it.” Definitely check out this song especially if you’re a fan of more extreme metal.
