OK, so in the course of listening, eclectic and expanding my horizons I’ve been very lucky to have been involved with The Cobalt Presents shows with my podcast cohost Brian of Audioeclectica. At the time of this review, there is an upcoming show for the magazine Highwire Daze and so I thought I would spotlight the different bands that are playing on November 15, 2025 at The Corbin Bowl in Tarzana. Now before I get 2 into it if you have not gone to a Cobalt Presents show you absolutely must because there are a lot of really great and talented younger bands that get to play. So let’s take a look……..
So for this spotlight, we’re going to take a look at a band called Birdcage and I must say they’re certainly different. They definitely have a different style than what I was expecting. I would say they’re more in the style of Indie rock and it’s certainly something that I really wasn’t expecting but in a good way (if that makes any sense). I would say of the three bands that are on for this Cobalt Presents show, they’re probably the softest. They’re also definitely a band that I would listen to if I was trying to relax or was just looking for something on the more chill side of things. There was just something that I found very soothing and relaxing about this band and it’s going to be very interesting to see how their songs are live. They don’t have a lot of stuff on Spotify, but the song that they do have are pretty good and I believe they have an eight song self titled EP, which is quite good. I’m definitely looking forward to checking them out and if you’re looking for something a little different, give these guys to listen.
