John Bush is absolutely one of those vocalists that sounds amazing both live and on album. Don’t believe me?? Next time Bushthrax, Armored Saint, or Category 7 come through go check them out. Or you can check out their mini concert for their Great Performance On TV during the Arsenio Hall Show. Let’s take a look….
You know when I listen to Sounds Of White Noise, I get a feeling of nostalgia even though I didn’t listen to Anthrax back in the 90’s. I really do get a nostalgic feeling when I listen to Sound Of White Noise however it holds up extremely well. The YouTube videos I’ve come across, really show how much marketing and promotion went into this album. I mean there was that Trail Of White Noise special they did on Headbangers Ball and of course they played on The Arsenio Hall Show. On Arsenio, the two songs were “Only” and “Got The Time” and I think it’s great that they played one song for both eras. Now personally I would’ve picked a different song from the Belladonna era but John Bush sounds great and can absolutely sing those songs. I can only imagine being a fan back then, seeing this during prime time and/or recording it on VHS to watch over and over again. Performances like this really make me miss the 90’s and the fact that John Bush STILL sounds this good really shows how great of a singer he is and how great the rest of the band is.
