The Lone Rangers: Degenerated
What makes this band unique is that the three members managed to sneak into the radio station KPPX Rebel Radio and hold everyone hostage in order to get their song played on the radio. They did draw a massive crowd, including an editor of the school newspaper. Now this song I gotta say is pretty bad ass. Chaz’s vocals and guitar playing sounds pretty damn good, Rex’s bass lines (especially the intro) are thick and thundery, and of course Pip’s drum work rounds everything out. It really is too bad that they ended up getting arrested and going to jail because I really would’ve loved to have heard Pip do his drum solo underwater. But you know they start touring in six months, well three if they’re on good behavior. I mean, there is a list of pretty serious charges, including kidnapping, theft, and assault with hot pepper sauce. But check this song out it’s seriously a banger and it’s just so much fun.
Now, seriously, the song is sung by Brendan Fraser and the music is done by the band Reagan Youth and there are accompanying vocals from Jay Yuenger and Sean Yseult from White Zombie. The song was produced by Jay Yuenger and Bryan Carlstrom who has also produced bands like Rob Zombie, Anthrax, Billy Idol, Alice In Chains, and The Offspring. Another fun fact, is that Metallica, Cannibal Corpse, and Testament were all asked to be in the movie but turned it down so they got White Zombie instead. Anyway, check the song out. It’s a lot of fun.
