For this Band Spotlight, we’re putting Alphamega on the Chopping Block. This one was a recommendation/suggestion so let’s take a look…….
If somebody were to ask me to describe the sound of this band, my answer would be Soilwork meets Avenged Sevenfold. Vocally the singer reminds me of Bjorn Strid (think Sworn To A Great Divide era). His delivery and cadence are very much within that same realm and I am a very big fan of that. Now musically, imagine if Avenged Sevenfold were actually good and that’s what you get with this band. When it comes to streaming their music, I would recommend listening to the deluxe version of their album Regeneration Machine and the “Lord Of The Flies” song. What I really like about this band is while they do sound like the aforementioned bands, it’s not gimmicky and they’re not trying to be a carbon copy. If you’re looking for something new and refreshing, give this band a listen.
