Up next on the chopping block is another Band Spotlight and again I really do have to give credit where credit is due and again this band came across my radar thanks to Mr. Jack Lue’s Instagram stories. So the band I’m spotlighting is a band from San Diego (a.k.a. the whale’s vagina according to Ron Burgundy Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale’s vagina. Scholars maintain that the translation was lost hundreds of years ago.) called 12 Gauge Trixie so with that let’s take a look……
So again, this is another young hard rock band, and based on their release history, they’ve only been around for a couple of years. I mean, I guess that would explain part of the reason why they’re so energetic. I mean seriously take a listen to any of their songs that are on whatever streaming platform and that’s one big thing that stood out was how energetic their songs are. Now there are only six songs that you can stream, but they’re all six great songs. What I like about this band is that not only are there songs full of energy but if you go on YouTube and just look up any of their live performances that energy carries over. I feel like that is something that’s missing in a lot of bands these days and I am really enjoying seeing these younger bands bring that energy back. The best way I would describe their sound is kind of a throwback to that 80’s mixed with that early 2000’s energy. If they’re putting out these kinds of songs now (it looks like they’ve only been doing this since about 2023) then I am very much looking forward to hearing what they have to offer next, and especially when they finally put out their first full length or EP. Definitely a band to put on your radar.
