On the Chopping Block is a band called The Cherry Bombs!! Like many bands that I’ve reviewed, one of their songs started playing after I had finished listening to another band on Spotify. Let’s take a look……..
Honestly, the best way I can describe this band is punk with a dash of 80s hair metal. This is another really young band and according to their bio, they’re still in high school!! not when it comes to streaming their music they have only three songs, but they’re three really good songs. Now while they only have three songs online, they’re all different which for a band whose members are still in high school is pretty impressive. You have one song that’s just full on punk another one that is sort of ballad, adjacent, and another one that’s just a straight up hard rock with a dash of punk. All three of their songs are short but sweet however they are a lot of fun to listen to. If a band like this is this good now I can only imagine how they will be 10, maybe even five years from now. Hopefully later this year we get at least two or three new songs, but I think a full length or at the very least an EP would be fantastic. Definitely give this band a listen, a follow, and put them on your radar for future music.
