Rising Star Reviews: The Anti-Groupies

So if you don’t have plans on November 15, 2025 (It’s a Saturday BTW) well now you do because I am now spotlighting another band for the upcoming Cobalt Presents Show (it’s the 35th anniversary of Highwire Daze Magazine just so ya know). For this spotlight I’m going to be taking a look at the band The Anti-Groupies. Again this is another band that is composed of all ladies so anyone that knows me knows that I think that it’s been the ladies that have been dominating hard rock and metal as of late. So with that, let’s take a look……………

OK, so if this seems familiar that’s because it is and the reason for that is because they are already in a mixed bag review click here to read that review https://sinisterreviews.wordpress.com/mixed-bag-vol-12/ Now I am not going to talk about their album Pretty Vicious because again if you want to read my thoughts on that go read the mixed bag review. What I do want to touch upon is that they were put on my radar by my good friend and podcast cohost Brian of Audioeclectica and I have been a fan since. This is just a great group of ladies that absolutely know how to rock. Like if you’re a fan of hard rock and classic rock with a punk attitude, you will absolutely love this band.  You know doing these mixed bag reviews, and band spotlights as well as helping out with Cobalt Presents shows really does prove that there are some immensely talented, newer bands out there and they are no exception. If this band is not on your radar, then they absolutely need to be because they are immensely talented. What’s great about this band? Is that each musician has a lot to offer. I think Cassidy has a great voice. I think that Isabella has some great guitar tone, and I love the fact that she makes good use of an octave pedal(hands-down, one of my favorite guitar effects and very underrated if ask me), I think Sydney’s bass and Kyla’s drumming complement each other very well.  If they’re this good at such a young age now then I’m really looking forward to seeing what they have to offer in the future.  I’m also gonna put it out there in the universe and whoever’s reading this that is able to make it happen hear me out but I think they would be absolutely perfect to open for one of my favorite bands The Warning. Like they were absolutely fit that tour. I mean I’m just saying……. All that aside definitely give this young band to listen your ears will thank you.
