It’s always fun when another musician joins another band on stage and they one of their songs. It’s even cooler when they play more than one song but does anybody remember That One Time Gary Numan joined Nine Inch Nails on stage during their 2009 Wave Goodbye Tour in 2009?? Let’s take a look………
If anybody’s been to a Nine Inch Nails show then you know how much production goes into it and how special they are. I mean it could be a six month long tour and I have no doubt that every single stop is something special. Such as the case with this particular tour, where Trent brings out Gary Numan and the songs “Metal” and “Cars” are performed. Now during this tour, Gary was on every stop of the tour so it was a nightly thing. You can absolutely tell that everybody on stage is having an absolute blast and once Trent announces/welcomes Gary, the crowd just goes wild. I must say going back and listening to the original versions of these songs, you can absolutely tell that Trent is influenced by Gary. I must say it is pretty cool seeing Trent play the tambourine as opposed to guitar and vocals. I also didn’t realize that the song “Metal” very much sounds like it could be a Nine Inch Nails song. Either way this is just a really really fun performance and again you can tell that everybody is just having an absolute blast on stage.
