For this next Spotlight Review, we’re gonna take a look at a relatively new band from the LA area called Sugarfix. I have seen their name here and there and decided to put them on the Chopping Block. Let’s take a look…….
First of all if you do not have plans on March 28, 2026 well guess what?? You do now because this band will be playing at Hotel Ziggy for their first Cobalt Presents Show and it’s most certainly going to be an absolutely fun time!!! Now, the first impression that I get from this band is, but they’re very much influenced by bands like Extreme and other classic rock bands. I think what I like most about this band and bands like them is the simplicity. It’s nothing over the top. It’s just your basic guitars, bass, drums, and voice. What’s great about a band like this is that you can tell that they are just having fun and quite honestly that’s what making Rock music is all about. Just having fun. Now, when it comes to streaming their music as of now, they really only have one single called “My Roman Empire” but it is a good single and I firmly believe it is a good indicator of what this band is all about. I know they’ve also played at the NAMM show and of course at venues like Universal Bar And Grill in LA. The live videos that I have seen on YouTube definitely showcase how much potential this band has.
