In at number 66/100 is the band Kataklysm and to be honest, this was another one of those times where I had a hard time picking a song for Song Pick Of The Week. However, I’ve decided to go with “Ambassador Of Pain” off the Serenity In Fire album. Let’s take a look….
When it comes to a band like Kataklysm, you cannot deny the badassery that this band brings. “Ambassador Of Pain” is a perfect example of such and this song is the perfect way to open the album. The very opening is a sample from the movie Road To Perdition and after that, it just goes for it. As far as the meaning of the song goes, I think it’s pretty obvious. It’s clearly about someone who lives their life on their own terms and crushes those who oppose them. It also embodies a sense of empowerment and challenges those to liberate themselves to anything that may hold a person back. However you want to interpret the lyrics, it’s a perfect Kataklysm song and is even better live.
