There are bands that are way past due for a new album and one such band is Decapitated. It’s been 9 years (at the time of writing this) since they put out their last album Anticult and the song “Kill The Cult” is up for Song Pick Of The Week. Let’s take a look…..
While all of the album Anticult is one hell of a record, one of my absolute favorites is the song “Kill The Cult.” It’s just so badass, aggressive, and the brutality is absolutely perfect. It’s definitely one of those songs that if I’m listening to it then so is everyone else. Of course as the name suggests, it’s about the rejection of cults particularly religion, blind obedience, and dogmatic belief systems. It’s mainly targeting Christianity and how manipulative it can be with followers being mindless puppets controlled by unseen and powerful figures. There’s really not much else to it and songs like this, can make one question their beliefs but really, it’s just a badass song off of a badass album.
