Whether you grew up watching sitcoms in the 90s like I did (yes it was a better time. That’s just a fact.) or you’re going back and streaming old sitcoms/tv shows like Friends you cannot deny that even hearing the name of your favorite bands, being mentioned is pretty damn cool. There are some bands that will even go so far as making a cameo. Let’s take a look……
Does anybody remember the show The Drew Carey Show?? I feel like this is one of those sitcoms that rarely gets brought up when people talk about old sitcoms from the 90s. Of course it doesn’t help that you can’t really stream it anywhere like you would Seinfeld or Friends. But I digress. Anytime it was on, I would always tune in because while it was a bit weird it was a pretty funny show. The Drew Carey Show actually had a pretty decent run coming in at nine seasons which I honestly didn’t know it had that many. Now the episode that I’m referencing. Is from Season 4 Episode 2 called In Ramada Vita where Drew and his friends are looking to start to audition guitar players for a band they formed in high school called The Horn Dogs for a hotel, chain at the request of investors from Vietnam. There were several great guitar players including Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, Slash, Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, Lisa Loeb, and Joey Ramone. It’s a pretty funny episode and a great moment.
