Sometimes you forget just how long a band has been around. Such is the case of Machine Head and that’s who we’re taking a look at for today’s Ozzfest 1997 Performance. Let’s take a look…
There is something about 90’s Machine Head that is just so cool. For this Ozzfest, they were touring in support of The More Things Change which definitely has some of their hits. This album dropped on March 25, 1997 so it was still pretty fresh and man did these guys have a ton of energy!! They were the headlining the second stage and they opened with “Davidian” which is a great way to kick things off!! Now the performance I was able to find was from the June 15, 1997 date and what makes this one unique is that they were only able to play 3 songs before their set was cut short due to Black Sabbath’s intro. Rather than let that ruin the day, the band actually passed out free Red Dog beers to the crowd. So was anyone there at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford New Jersey on June 15, 1997?? If so do you remember this??
