For today’s guest vocals, I thought I would do a bit of an interesting one and take a look at the song “No Place Of Warmth” by the band Frozen Soul. This is the title track of their upcoming album so let’s take a look……..
For those that are unfamiliar with Frozen Soul, they are a death metal band from Fort Worth Texas, and have been around since 2018. I have heard a few of their songs here and there, but never really gave them much attention. When “No Place For Warmth” started playing, I noticed that the guest vocalist was none other than Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance!! I remember thinking it was kind of weird that he would do guest vocals for this kind of music but gave the song a listen. On this particular song, he does do the clean vocals and if you really want to hear him, it’s more towards the end. At first, I was thinking that it wouldn’t work given that I don’t really listen to My Chemical Romance but surprisingly it works really really well. Who knew that Gerard Way could do death metal? It’s a really cool song and if you’re a fan of bands like Bolt Thrower, then you’ll definitely like this song. If you read the YouTube comments on the music video for this song, they’re pretty funny because a lot of people are saying that Gerard is doing anything but release new My Chemical Romance. If you are a fan of Gerard Way and want to hear him do something different definitely give this song a spin.
