With the upcoming John Bush plays Anthrax show in LA, I thought it would only be fitting to make this my first ultimate set list. With that, let’s take a look……….
For those that are reading this that don’t really listen to Anthrax, John Bush was their singer from 1992-2005 and for a brief moment in 2009. Now, as I said in my introduction, John will be playing songs from all four of his Anthrax albums which is something that I’ve been very, very excited about. His backing band will be his other band Category 7 which features Phil Demmel (Kerry King) on guitar, Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall) on drums, Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob) on guitar, and Jack Gibson (Exodus) on bass so it’s a bad ass lineup. It should be noted that for the show in LA, Jack Gibson will not be playing, but instead Armored Saint bassist Joey Vera will be taking his place. Fun fact, Joey Vera filled in for Frankie Bello during the We’ve Come For You All tour (while Frankie was in Helmet) and Jason Bittner filled in for Charlie Benante for a few shows during the reunion tour which technically means there are former Anthrax members playing. I cannot think of a perfect show to end 2025. Personally, I would love it if he just played every single song from every single one of his albums, but you know let’s be realistic here.
