Not too long ago, I was listening to Coheed and Cambria and I came across their song “A Favor House Atlantic” and I thought to myself “ I’ll be seeing them in October and I know that they’re going to play this song live so let’s see how it sounds.” Now after going down the rabbit hole does anyone remember That One Time when Spencer Sotelo joined them on stage?? Let’s take a look….
If I remember correctly “A Favor House Atlantic” is one of the first songs that I ever heard from Coheed and Cambria and it’s still one of my favorite songs from them. I know it’s considered a fan favorite but it’s just so much fun. Now I did see this band back in 2004 at the Warped Tour but at the time I didn’t really like them so I didn’t care. Now that I have become a fan, I’m really looking forward to hearing them play this. For this live version, Spencer Sotelo and Claudio Sanchez (guitar/vocals) both harmonize and it’s makes this song that much better. The footage is from their 2025 tour at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids Michigan stop and for fan footage, it’s pretty good. Now who is Spencer Sotelo you may ask??? Well he’s the frontman of the band Periphery and while I’m not super familiar with a lot of their songs, he compliments Claudio’s vocals pretty well. The song opens with that catchy riff and Spencer comes in at the 1:03 mark and of course the crowd goes wild. It’s just a really fun time and as I said earlier makes this song that much better.
