May 17, 2026 will be my 1 year anniversary of being involved with Cobalt Presents and I thought I’d take this time to reflect on it. Let’s take a look…………….
Since I have had an eclectic awakening of sorts, I have really become a fan of a lot of the bands that have played at either Corbin Bowl and Hotel Ziggy. In fact, several of them have made it to my daily listening rotation which really just shows how great the bands that get booked are. If this stubborn metalhead can become a fan of bands like Madam Bombs, Minor Strut, Ayva, Witkin, Seven 40 Seven, Jet Black Iris, and so many others, then that just proves that both Cobalt Dave and Brian of Audioeclectica really know what they’re doing. I have learned so much over this past year as far as the production and how a show is supposed to run.
There really is a lot more to putting on a show than just posting a picture to social media. Yes that’s part of it but since these shows are run very regimented and by the numbers, you start to notice when shows at say The Whiskey are not running smoothly. I’ve been having an absolute blast being involved with this and have found some great bands in the process!! Hell that’s how Rising Star Reviews was born so here’s to many more years and if you are ever in Tarzana or West Hollywood, come on by and see some great bands!!
