This is one of those bands that you may or may not have heard of. The band on the chopping block is the band Crucified Barbara and I would say the best way to describe them is that they are Sweden’s hard rock answer to The Runaways. Anyway, let’s take a look……
In Distortion We Trust- well this one definitely comes out swinging. I mean the guitar work on here is really good and the overall tone is killer. If you’re looking for a modern hard rock album, I’d definitely give this one a listen. There is even a cover of Killed By Death by Motörhead and Shout It Out Loud by Kiss. I give this 9/10
Standouts: Losing The Game, I Need A Cowboy From Hell, Hide ‘Em All
‘Til Death Do We Party- ok so this one starts even harder than the previous album. I think I remember actually hearing about this album either on Loudwire or something. This is definitely an album that I would start with if I was getting into this band. It’s just got a great hard rock sound to it. I give it 10/10
Standouts: Sex Action, Dark Side, Killer On His Knees, Feels Like Death
The Midnight Chase- this one still maintains that hard rock edge but I would say that this is somewhat more melodic than the previous album. There are some slow spots here and there and it’s not quite as fast as the last record but regardless, this is still an album worth listening to. It’s got an 80’s feel to it but this is probably better. I give this one 8/10
Standouts: Rock Me Like The Devil, Shut Your Mouth, Everything We Need
In The Red- so if I had to sum this album up, I’d say it’s a good mix of the last two albums. I definitely think this is a step up from the last album and there seems to be better hooks on this one. Also the vocals seem to be a bit more rough on here. Great album overall, and I give it 9/10
Standouts: To Kill A Man, In The Red, Finders Keepers
Like I had said before, if you enjoy really good hard rock, then definitely check this band out. It’s really too bad they broke up because I’m sure they were great live. I could see them going on tour with a band like Guns N Roses and I think I read somewhere that they did in fact tour with Motörhead and Girl School. Anyway, check them out you’ll really enjoy these records.
