I’ve found that when it comes to opening songs from The Warning, they really tend to grab you and pull you in. Now I’ve written about their album Queen Of The Murder Scene a fair amount of times but for this Kickoff, we’re going with the song “Disciple” off of the Error album. Let’s take a look………
After the weird kind of intro song, it just goes right into it with a really bad ass opening bass line. I’ll always enjoy listening to Ale’s bass parts because she just has such a cool tone. For someone as young as she is (if I remember correctly, I believe she was 15 when this album was released) she really is a great player. What’s great about this particular song is that it’s got a great groove to it and the guitar work while nothing mind blowing is simple and to the point. Another highlight of this track are the vocal harmonies and trade-offs between Dany (guitar) and Pau (drums). Both have such unique voices and their trade-offs really do complement this song. And when they play it live it always goes over really well and is definitely a crowd favorite. Songs like this really make me a fan of bands like this.
