For today’s Great Performances On TV, we’re taking a look at that time when AFI played “17 Crimes” on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Let’s take a look…..
AFI are one of those bands that I really didn’t give much attention to back in the day. Of course now that my tastes have changed, I’ve actually come to really appreciate this band and their albums. Now I have seen AFI before, but I honestly don’t remember and it was at a time when I really wasn’t into them. Seeing this performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live just goes to show how great they are live!! Honestly this performance sounds almost exactly like it does on the album and that’s kind of hard for a lot of bands to pull off. Now, a buddy of mine is a much bigger fan than I am, and he will agree that AFI are one of those bands you absolutely need to see live. I have no doubt that this performance of “17 Crimes” gained them some new fans!!
