2026 has had so many great albums from so many great bands that honestly it’s going to be hard to pick a favorite. One of my favorite bands s of recent years is The Smashing Pumpkins and on May 15, 2026, they released an album called Zodeon At Crystal Hall. Let’s take a look…..
Just when you think that William Patrick Corgan can’t do anything anymore, he goes and releases this album. Now this is not a brand new album per se but rather a bonus album released during the Atum: A Rock Opera In Three Acts era. When I listen to an album like this, I don’t know, but for some reason, it just makes me think of listening to old records that my grandparents had. I really just can’t explain it. It’s just a feeling of nostalgia that I get and it’s a great feeling. The best way that I can describe this album is that it’s acoustic driven with psychedelic and folk rock elements mixed in. Now I know that this is not a completely brand new album however in 2026. However, this is definitely something to hold me over until a brand new album is released. I’m giving this album 9/10.
